Creatives for climate rounds up a week of climate action at cannes lions with launch of greenwash watch

This week the Creatives for Climate team was at Cannes Lions on the lookout for GREENWASHING! We spoke to experts, creatives and industry leaders all about greenwashing and how we can better keep the industry accountable. Check out the video created in collaboration with Mr Frank to hear what people had to say…

We will continue the conversation around greenwashing begin unpacking the sustainability landscape at Cannes Lions at our Greenwash Watch event next week! Tickets are free so don’t forget to book your spot!

There is a growing skills gap in this industry when it comes to communicating sustainability effectively: 40% of marketers report that they lack relevant sustainability marketing qualifications, despite 76% of them having been involved in sustainability projects over the past five years.

This is why we are releasing Greenwash Watch, a new training programme released as a Summer School starting August 1st, giving the tools to push back on greenwashing in their work and drive real strategies for change.

Designed by Sustainability Professor Gill Willson and facilitated live by Evva Semenowicz, the course spans seven modules from “selling the business case to the CMO” to “weeding out the greenwashing in a sustainability strategy”.

Each module will see experts from academia, industry and grassroots activism equipping participants with the tools they need to create impactful campaigns that preserve the future of our planet.  Expert speakers include: Samuel Gosschalk (Greenpeace), Alex Weller (Patagonia), and Christian Smith (Zalando)

P.S The first 10 spots get 100euros off with the code FIRSTIN
